This calculator gives estimates for illustration only. It is general information, not financial advice, and it does not allow for tax, fees, inflation or changes in interest rates.

How the daily income calculator works

The calculator divides the amount you want to earn by the number of days you have. If you add an hourly rate, it divides the daily amount by that rate to show the hours needed each day.

A worked example

Amount to earn
$500.00
Days to earn it in
5
Hourly rate
$20.00
Needed per day
$100.00
Hours per day
5

Why break a target into days

A total on its own is hard to judge. Seeing it as a daily amount, and as hours at a rate you can realistically charge or earn, makes it easier to tell whether a plan fits the time you have.

What it leaves out

  • Tax. The figures are whatever you enter, with nothing taken off.
  • Costs of earning the money, such as travel, materials or platform fees
  • Days off, and days when less work is available

Common questions

The calculator does not take off any tax. If you enter amounts before tax, the result is before tax.

Leave that box empty. The calculator will show the amount needed per day on its own.

At the hourly rate you entered, the daily amount would need more hours than a day has. Add more days, lower the amount, or use a higher hourly rate.
